Reactions’ North America Awards set for Sept. 26

Reactions’ North America Awards, a black-tie gala honoring the top performers in the re/insurance industry, is set for Sept. 26 at Cipriani 25 Broadway in New York City.

The event, one of Reactions’ biggest events of the year, begins with a cocktail reception at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner and the awards presentation beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Co-hosts for this year’s awards ceremony are EY and Markel.

Awards bestowed throughout the evening recognize both individuals and organizations, and span the spectrum of the industry from North America Insurer and Reinsurer of the year awards to honors for retail and wholesale brokers, InsurTech firms, rating agencies, risk modellers, accounting firms, consultancies, rising stars in broking and underwriting, and ILS investment managers, among many others.

The award winners will be determined by an executive panel of judges representing a variety of leading organizations within the re/insurance industry.

Additionally, those looking to nominate an individual or company for this year’s awards can do so by using our online submission form, here.

Highlights from the event and a full list of winners will be featured in Reactions’ October issue.

The awards gala follows ReactionsNorth America Re/Insurance Conference, which runs from 8 a.m. to 4:35 p.m. at Cipriani 25 Broadway. Attendees can enjoy networking opportunities with key industry figures from the re/insurance world; the event draws 300 delegates from more than 200 companies.

Richard Whitt, Co-Chief Executive Officer of Markel Corporation, has been added to the daytime conference program as a keynote speaker. Additional speakers will include Peter Wilson, CEO, Insurance, AXIS Capital; Marc Adee, Chairman and CEO, Crum & Forester Insurance Group; David Brown, Senior Partner, Regional Insurance Leader, EY Bermuda; Ty Sagalow, Founding Member of Lemonade; and many others.
